Wondering what to expect?

Straight Answers Before You Book

Below are the questions I hear most from NYC locals, visiting collectors, and first-timers — answered in plain language so you can book your session with confidence.

How does booking work? Do I need a deposit?

You can book online above if you're ready. If you want chat first, there are a few ways to reach me:

~ Shoot me a text

~ Fire off a DM on Instagram

~ Share your idea (you can attach inspiration photos if you'd like)

I reply within an hour during studio days.

To reserve your spot, the deposit is $200 for hourly or half-day sessions and $500 for full-day sessions. Deposits are non-refundable and applied to your total. If you need to reschedule, 48 hours’ notice keeps your deposit; cancellations or changes inside 48 hours forfeit it.

I work by appointment only in my private NYC studio in the Financial District/Seaport, and the address is provided after booking.

How does your design process work? Will I see the design before my appointment?

I design same-day, with you here. We start by reviewing your references and my portfolio, then I create the layout and flow for your placement. You’ll approve the stencil before we begin.
I don’t send final designs in advance — the best results come from working together in the moment.

When are you available? How far ahead should I book?

I tattoo most days. Earliest start is 9–10 AM, latest start 5–6 PM. Sometimes same-day spots are open — text to check. Booking early helps lock in your preferred date.

How long does a session take?

Small fine-line tattoos: often under an hour of needle time

Portraits: usually 5–6 hours

Larger realism: full-day recommended

We work at a relaxed pace with breaks as needed — quality always comes first.

Does it hurt to get a tattoo?

It’s not painless, but my light, single-needle approach is easier than most expect. Clients often say it’s far more comfortable than they imagined.

Can I walk in or bring a friend?

My studio is appointment-only. I don’t take walk-ins so I can give each piece the focus it deserves. That said, sometimes I’ve got last-minute openings — just shoot me a DM and I’ll let you know what’s possible.

Feel free to bring a friend to your appointment!

How much does a fine-line or micro-realism tattoo cost in NYC?

In my NYC studio, rates are straightforward: $500 per hour (1-hour minimum), $1,800 flat for a half-day, and $2,500 flat for a full-day (6–8 hours, same price whether 6 or 8). The minimum is $400 for tattoos under 30 minutes. All pricing applies to my black & gray fine-line and micro-realism work.

What kinds of tattoos do you offer? Can I bring an idea, pick from flash, or request something custom?

I work exclusively in black & gray fine-line and micro-realism — including portraits, pet portraits, and other highly detailed single-needle designs. I don’t do color tattoos. You’re welcome to bring your own idea or reference images, and I’ll adapt it to flow with your placement. I also keep a small library of pre-drawn flash for inspiration. Either way, we’ll finalize the design together on the day of your appointment so it feels personal and fits you perfectly.

Do I need a consultation?

Consultations are required for large-scale realism, half sleeves, or any multi-session project. They’re optional for small or medium pieces that can be completed in a single session. If you’re unsure which applies, text me a brief description or reference photo and I’ll point you in the right direction.
