Wondering what to expect?

Straight Answers Before You Book

Below are the questions I hear most from NYC locals, cross‑country travelers, long-time collectors, and first‑timers.

What kinds of tattoos do you offer? Can I bring an idea, pick from flash, or request something custom?

I specialize in fine-line and micro-realism: think soft shading, hyper-realistic detail, and crisp single-needle line work. Most clients come with a loose idea or a photo reference, and we co-create the final sketch together same-day. I don’t work off flash or pre-set sheets; every piece is designed custom, on the spot, to fit your intention and the flow of your body.

How does your design process work? Will I see the design before my appointment?

Yes, your design session happens the morning of your appointment, side-by-side. You’ll come in with references, we’ll talk through your vision, and I’ll hand-sketch something grounded in your anatomy and scale. No back-and-forth emails or guessing games. Just clarity and collaboration, same day.

How does booking work? Do I need a deposit?

Booking’s fully online. Once you pick a date and fill out your intake, a $200 deposit holds your spot. That deposit goes toward your final total and is transferable if you reschedule with at least 48 hours’ notice. If you're ready to make it happen, schedule your session here.

When are you available? How far ahead should I book?

I typically open books 4-6 weeks out. That said, I keep a few short-notice openings each month, so it’s worth checking if you're trying to get in sooner. For larger pieces, it’s smart to book at least a couple of weeks in advance to get a time slot that works for you.

How long does a session take?

Small pieces can be done in an hour or two. Medium designs run 3-4 hours. For large-scale work, plan on 6-8 hours with built-in breaks and understand that bigger pieces like sleeves usually take multiple sessions. Feel free to book if you're ready. Contact me if you want to get an estimate.

Does it hurt to get a tattoo?

Most clients say it my touch is light. About a 4 to 6 out of 10 depending where you're getting tattooed. I make sure I apply the perfect pressure to get the ink precisely at the needed depth, no more. And we will take rest breaks whenever you need. It's your tattoo session and I'm here to deliver the experience you need.

Can I walk in or bring a friend?

I’m fully appointment-only to keep the space calm and focused. You’re welcome to bring one guest for support, but please let me know if you'd like to bring someone so we ensure the studio is set up for everyone to be comfortable.

Is it legal to tattoo at home in New York? What if I know a guy?

No, tattooing outside a licensed facility is illegal in most states, including New York. More importantly, it skips basic hygiene standards. Even if someone’s “good,” it’s not worth the infection risk. Plus, people working outside a studio usually aren't cranking out masterpieces. Always choose licensed.

Do you do body piercings in your shop?

No, this studio is tattoo-only. No piercings, tooth gems, or other services. It keeps the space focused strictly on tattoos that stand the test of time.

How much is a tattoo in New York, generally?

In NYC, most high-quality artists charge between $200 and $500 per hour depending on their experience and style. A completed tattoo can range from $500 to $5,000. Location is a factor, too. Studios in Manhattan and Brooklyn may price slightly higher. Just remember: when it comes to tattoos, cheaper usually means riskier, both in hygiene and in healed quality.

How much will my tattoo cost if I work with you?

It depends on size, detail, and placement. My hourly rate is $500, with a studio minimum of $350. Ballpark expectations:

⟡ Tiny / Script (under 2 in.) ≈ $350

⟡ Small Fine‑Line (2–3″) ≈ $500

⟡ Palm‑Size Micro‑Realism (3–5″) ≈ $1,000–$2,000

⟡ Half‑Forearm ≈ $1,800

⟡ Sleeve / Back Panel ≈ $3,200+

I'm happy to provide a quote before we start sketching so there are no surprises. Just reach out.
